Pilipinas ang kauna unahan sa Asya to adopt Hip-hop/Rap, including all the 4 elements of it even fashion if your a fan (and obviously you are) and there are a bunch of local rappers out there na iba iba ng charisma, a topic they love to discuss, groups affiliations, and styles
pero ano ano nga ba ang iba’t ibang uri ng Rap in the field of Pinoy hip-hop music?
Trap

Eto ung style na alam ko by hearing it but not quite know how to describe it, but mostly the artist today commonly use this style. Generally known about melodic synthesizers, hi hats, rhythmic snares, deep 808 kick drums, double-time, triple-time (that only producers would understand). Trap is largely about the music itself, the instrumental beats, not the voice of the artist. Matagal na ang trap, nag evolve lang ang music thanks to T.I, inventor of trap music and Gucci Mane who perfected it as both coined by critics. Listen to Young Jeezy too if you want to hear what trap music is like. Dati hindi siya genre talaga. Trap is a place where a drug deal take place, so they are called “trap rappers” and obviously tracks nila is mainly about drug dealing. Pakinggan mo track ni Young Jeezy – U Know What It Is, magegets mo ang trap (check this link to hear the trap sound in it, famous back in the 2000’s) or the likes of Rick Ross and Waka Flocka Flame. (Most notable: Skusta Clee, Ex-B,)
